HC Deb 27 July 1876 vol 230 c1962
MR. W. HOLMS

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty, If he is now prepared to state what course the Government intends to take with respect to the Report of the Royal Commission on Fugitive Slaves; and, whether it has decided upon withdrawing the Fugitive Slave Circular now in force, more than a month having elapsed since he informed the House that he would be prepared with a statement as to the course to be pursued by Government so soon as honourable Members had sufficient time to consider the Report?

MR. HUNT

It is intended to issue fresh Instructions, and I hope before the Prorogation of Parliament to lay a copy on the Table of the House.
