HC Deb 06 July 1876 vol 230 c1046
MR. MUNTZ

asked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Whether his attention has been called to the seizure of the bullion in the London and River Plate Bank at Rosario, in the State of Santa Fé, by the authorities of that State; and, if Her Majesty's Government has received any explanations of this proceeding?

MR. BOURKE,

in reply, said, Her Majesty's Government had had this matter under their consideration for some time, and they were consulting the Law Officers of the Crown upon it. There were, however, certain facts upon, which it was desirable to have fuller information, and until that information was received, it would be impossible to come to any decided opinion upon the matter.
