HC Deb 24 February 1876 vol 227 c814
SIR H. DEUMMOND WOLFF

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, When the Report of the Special Committee on Police Superannuation may be expected; and, whether he intends to introduce any measure dealing with the subject during the present Session?

MR. ASSHETON CROSS

, in reply, said, that the Committee upon this subject was appointed last Session, but they did not conclude their labours in the course of the Session, and certain information had to be procured before they could make a satisfactory Report. There had been delay in printing the information; but when it was ready the re-appointment of the Committee would be moved, and no doubt they would then make their final Report.
