HC Deb 24 February 1876 vol 227 c816
MR. GOURLEY

asked the President of the Board of Trade, If it is his intention to introduce his promised Bill for compelling dealers in Coal to sell by weight only; and, if so, at what period of the Session?

SIR CHARLES ADDERLEY

demurred to the statement that he had promised to introduce a Bill for compelling the sale by weight of coal. He objected to the Bill of the hon. Member last year, as he changed it two or three times; and he could only say, if he brought in a Bill this Session he would give it his careful consideration as to how far he might be able to support it.
