asked the Secretary of State for War, What is the number of vacancies in the Army Medical Department; how many appointments were announced as open for competition at the competitive examination to be held this month; whether the time for entering candidates' names has not now expired; and, how many candidates have entered their names?

in reply, said, there were 27 vacancies in the Army Medical Department; 50 appointments had been announced as open for competition at the; examination this month, and 44 candidates had entered their names.
