HC Deb 27 April 1876 vol 228 c1816

MR. JAMES moved for a Return— Of the number of Liverymen in the City of London entitled to vote at the election of Members of Parliament for the City of London by reason of their patrimony, servitude, or purchase in any of the Companies, arranged in the order of their respective Companies:—Name of Company. Patrimony. Purchase or Redemption. Servitude.

MR. ASSHETON CROSS

said, he had no objection himself to the Return, but he was told by the Lord Mayor that the materials did not exist for ascertaining the information required. If, however, that had been so, he supposed the Lord Mayor would have been in the House to oppose the Motion.

Motion agreed to.
