HC Deb 24 April 1876 vol 228 c1577
MR. ERNEST NOEL

asked the Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Whether the Proclamation issued by Sir William Jervois last year ordering the affairs of the Independent Malay State of Perak to be administered by Commissioners in the Queen's name, has been approved by Her Majesty's Government; and, when the Papers on the subject of our dealings with the States of the Malay Peninsula, in continuation of the Correspondence presented to Parliament in July 1874, will be laid upon the Table of the House?

MR. BOURKE,

in reply, said, that Papers on the subject would be laid on the Table in a few days by the Under Secretary for the Colonies, and all the information the hon. Gentleman asked for would be found in them. It would be impossible within the limits of an Answer to a Question to give all the information he asked.
