HC Deb 04 April 1876 vol 228 c1180
MR. SULLIVAN

asked the Postmaster General, If he can state why postal telegraph service had been withdrawn from Glengarriffe, County Cork; and, when we may hope for its restoration?

Lord JOHN MANNERS

I can assure the hon. Member that I appreciate far too highly the charms and beauties of Glengarriffe to deprive it of postal telegraphic communication. The fact is that the postmistress there has resigned, and the postal communication has necessarily been suspended in consequence. I hope to see it soon restored.
