HC Deb 03 May 1875 vol 223 c1960
MR. M'CARTHY DOWNING

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland, Whether it is the intention of the Government to introduce a Bill in reference to the reconstruction of the Courts of Quarter Session in Ireland and to their increased jurisdiction; and, if so, when the Bill may be in the hands of Members?

SIR MICHAEL HICKS-BEACH

, in reply, said, that the subject of the reconstruction of the Courts of Quarter Session in Ireland and their increased jurisdiction had been under the consideration of his right hon. and learned Friend the Lord Chancellor of Ireland. If, as he hoped would be the case, the Government could deal with the subject this Session, the Bill would be introduced in the other House by his noble Friend the Lord Chancellor.
