HC Deb 04 March 1875 vol 222 c1176
MR. MARK STEWART

asked the Postmaster General, Whether his attention has been called to the desirability of establishing telegraphic communication between New Galloway and Dalmellington; and, if such is the case, what decision, if any, has been arrived at on the subject?

LORD JOHN MANNERS,

in reply, said, that the Government had had under consideration a proposal to establish such a telegraphic communication, but that they did not think the results of the undertaking would justify the outlay which would be required to carry it out.
