HC Deb 04 March 1875 vol 222 c1182
MR. J. W. BARCLAY

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether he intends to extend the Artizans Dwellings Bill to Scotland; and, if so, when he expects to submit the Clauses specially applicable to Scotland?

MR. ASSHETON CROSS,

in reply, said, that it was his intention to extend the provisions of the Bill to Scotland, and the necessary alterations had been framed for the purpose. He thought, however, that it would be best to allow the Bill in its present form to pass through Committee, and then to introduce a fresh Bill applying the same provisions to Scotland.

In reply to Mr. CAWLEY,

MR. ASSHETON CROSS

said, he would put down the next stage of the Bill for Monday next; and if, on that day, he saw no reasonable hope of bringing it on at an early hour, he would name another day for its consideration.
