HC Deb 25 June 1875 vol 225 c549
MR. FRESHFIELD

asked the President of the Board of Trade, What course he intends to pursue with the Dover Pier and Harbour Bill?

SIR CHARLES ADDERLEY

Sir, the strong opinion expressed by the Committee in favour of an extension of the work proposed by this Bill renders it necessary that the Government should re-consider the whole plan, and at this period of the Session there is not time to do so. The subject will be carefully considered during the Recess, and the course decided on to be taken next year.
