asked the First Lord of the Admiralty, Whether any arrangements have been made by which noncommissioned officers of the Royal Marines are allowed to be transferred to the permanent staff of Rifle Volunteer Regiments to serve as Sergeant Instructors?

, in reply, side, that arrangements had been made, and of several recommended for the purpose, three sergeants of the Royal Marines had already been transferred to the permanent staff of the Rifle Volunteers to serve as sergeant instructors.
