1773§ MR. MORGAN LLOYDalleged that the clause would render the accused liable to be tried twice over, first for murder, and next for manslaughter, and moved that it be omitted.
§ MR. CHARLEYdefended the clause, which he said was based on the recommendation of the Select Committee.
