asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether Militia officers desirous of retiring with their rank will be allowed to reckon previous service in the Volunteer force?

MR. GATHORNE HAEDY,

in reply, said, it had been decided that service in the Volunteers should not be allowed to reckon for honorary rank on retirement from the Militia.
