§ SIR WILFRID LAWSONasked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether he has any objection to lay upon the Table, previous to the Vote being taken for the Prince of Wales's visit to India, the Correspondence on that subject which has taken place between the Viceroy and the Home Authorities?
§ MR. DISRAELISir, the only Correspondence on the subject is a strictly confidential Correspondence between the Viceroy and the Secretary of State; and for many reasons which will, no doubt, occur to the hon. Baronet, as well as to the House generally, it would not, I think, be for the public convenience or advantage that this Correspondence should be produced.
