§ CAPTAIN NOLANmoved the omission of the clause, which, he contended, would unjustly tax occupiers in Ireland for the support of lunatics.
§ MR. O'SULLIVANsaid, lunatics were very much on the increase in Ireland. The Americans sent persons home to Ireland as soon as they became insane. England, also, contributed a large increment to lunatics in Ireland. Increased accommodation for lunatics in Ireland was necessary.
§ Question put, "That the Clause stand part of the Bill."
