§ SIR THOMAS CHAMBERSasked the First Commissioner of Works, What steps are being taken to restore the bridge in the Regent's Park destroyed by the explosion on the Regent's Canal in October last, great public inconvenience being occasioned by the stoppage of the road into the park at that spot?
LORD HENRY LENNOXOwing to the uncertainty that has prevailed as to who is responsible for the cost of rebuilding the bridge, no steps have yet been taken in that direction. But, being very sensible of the great inconvenience arising to the public from the present state of matters, I will undertake personally that there shall be no further delay in the restoration of the bridge than is absolutely necessary.
