MR. SPEAKER

called the attention of the House to the Return to the Writ for the Election of a Member to serve in this present Parliament for the Kirkcaldy District of Burghs, in the room of Robert Reid, esquire, deceased, by which it appeared that Sir George, of Edenwood, D.C.L., Knight of the Star of India, had been returned as Member for the Kirkcaldy District of Burghs; and a Member having stated, upon his own knowledge, that the Sir George, of Edenwood, D.C.L., Knight of the Star of India, mentioned in the said Return, was Sir George Campbell, D.C.L., Knight Commander of the Star of India, who had been returned as a Member to serve in this present Parliament, at the last Election for the Kirkcaldy District of Burghs: Ordered, That the Deputy Clerk of the Crown do attend this House forthwith, with the last Return for the Kirkcaldy District of Burghs, and amend the same, by inserting after the word "George" the word" Campbell. And the Deputy Clerk of the Crown amended the said Return accordingly.
