§ SIR WYNDHAM ANSTRUTHERasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, If he will reconsider the amended rules and regulations for the government of county constables, issued from the Home Office by the late Secretary of State for that Department, which relate to the employment of constables on other than police duties, and cancel the same, so as to enable the police to aid the authorities and officers acting in the execution of the Public Health (Scotland) Act, as they did prior to the issuing of the said rules and regulations?
MR. ASSHETON CROSS, in reply, said, the matter was under the consideration of the Government, and he was at present in communication with the Lord Advocate on the subject.
