HC Deb 30 June 1874 vol 220 cc699-700

asked the Lord Advocate, Whether, in the paper now being-printed for the information of the House, in connection with the Church Patronage Bill, to show the number of communicants in each parish in Scotland, he can arrange the details in two columns, the one to give the numbers who will be authorized to vote in the election of ministers according to the interpretation clause as "being of full age," and the other column to give the numbers who will be excluded from the power of voting by not "being of full age?"

The Motion for the Return did not point out that there should be a distinction made, and I am sorry the Return does not enable me to do what the hon. Member asks.
