HC Deb 29 June 1874 vol 220 cc672-3

On the Motion of Mr. ASSHETON CROSS, the Bill was read a third time.

On Question, "That the Bill do pass,"

MR. ASSHETON CROSS

said, I should not have risen at this stage of the Bill, if it were not for the purpose of removing a misapprehension respecting something which fell from the hon. Member for Manchester (Sir Thomas Bazley) with regard to the Commissioners who were appointed by the late Government to inquire into this subject. I am glad to be able to state on his part, that in his remarks on the second reading, he had not any intention to cast any personal reflections or imputations upon the two Commissioners.

Bill read the third time, and passed.
