HC Deb 05 June 1874 vol 219 c1054
THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

I beg to give Notice that in case the Committee on the Intoxicating Liquors Bill should finish this evening, I shall on Monday next introduce a Bill to amend the law relating to Friendly Societies. If, however, the Intoxicating Liquors Bill does not pass through Committee to-night, I will bring in my Bill on Thursday, and I trust that my right hon. Friend at the head of the Government may be able to give the subject precedence over the Orders of the Day, so that the Bill may be brought forward at half-past 4 o'clock.
