asked the Secretary to the Treasury, If he would state to the House what decision, if any, has been come to regarding the Memorial of the Customs Outdoor Officers at the Out-ports; and, if no decision has yet been come to, when the Memorialists may expect one?

MR. W. H. SMITH

, in reply, said, that the Memorial had only recently reached the Treasury from the Customs officials, and there had not yet been sufficient time to consider the very important questions which it involved.
