§ MR. W. E. FORSTERasked the First Lord of the Treasury, If he can give the House the names of the three new Charity Commissioners which it is the intention of the Government to appoint?
§ MR. DISRAELII hope, Sir, to be able to follow the precedent to which the right hon. Gentleman refers, but it will not be convenient to give the names to-day. A very short time, however, will elapse before they are given.
§ MR. W. E. FORSTERMay I ask if the Government will not proceed with the third reading of the Bill to-morrow unless the names are given? If the right hon. Gentleman follows precedent, he will give the names before the Bill leaves this House.
§ MR. DISRAELII do not think the course of Business ought to be interrupted by such a circumstance; but it is possible they may be given before that time.
§ MR. MUNDELLAOn the Question, that the Bill be read a third time. I shall move that it is inexpedient to pass the Bill until the names of the Commissioners are given.
