§ SIR EARDLEY WILMOTasked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether, having regard to the often-expressed wishes of the people of Ireland, Her Majesty's Government would consider the expediency of establishing a Royal Residence there, with suitable provision for its maintenance, for the purpose of encouraging occasional visits of members of the Royal Family to that portion of the United Kingdom?
§ MR. DISRAELISir, I am very much in favour of royal residences, particularly when they are inhabited; and the great interest I take in Ireland would make me much rejoice if there were royal residences in that country inhabited by members of the Royal Family.
