§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER, in reply, said, that it was not considered necessary to pass an Act on that subject. The greater portion of those claims would have to be paid in America—in Washington—between the months of October and December, and such as were not satisfied by December would be subsequently paid in this country.
