asked the Secretary of State for War, If he will be willing to defer the purchase of land for a tactical station in the North of England until the House has had an opportunity of discussing the question of a central arsenal?

, in reply, said, the subject had undergone a good deal of consideration, and instructions had been given for the purchase of land for the purpose He did not think it would be for the interest of the public that the purchase of land should be deferred until there had been an opportunity of discussing the question of a central arsenal.
