§ COLONEL LEARMONTHasked the Secretary of State for the Homo Department, If his attention has been called to the case of the cabman, who was recently sentenced at the Middlesex Sessions to six months' imprisonment with hard labour for running over a boy while crossing St. Martin's Lane, and, whether, taking into consideration all the circumstances of the case, he is of opinion that the sentence is too severe?
§ SIR HENRY SELWIN-IBBETSON, in reply, said, no information of any sort had been submitted to the Home Secretary on this case, and until it was he was not in a position to say anything on the subject.
