HC Deb 30 April 1874 vol 218 c1411
MR. HEYGATE

asked the President of the Board of Trade, If there is any reason why the agricultural statistics of the United Kingdom should not be taken in the month of June, and a summary of them published in July?

SIR CHARLES ADDERLEY

Sir, the Agricultural Returns are taken in the third week in June of each year; but owing to the very great number of Returns it is impossible to compile a summary within two or three months after their collection.
