§ SIR MICHAEL HICKS-BEACH, in reply, said, he understood the meaning of the Question to be this—whether it was intended to substitute any purely denominational system of education for the national system of education now existing in Ireland? It was not the 924 intention of the Government to bring forward any measure during the present Session upon the subject.
