Order for Second Reading read.

COLONEL STUART KNOX

moved that the Order be discharged. He did not believe the Bill was in existence, and, moreover, the hon. Gentleman, its promoter, was absent.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Order for the Second Reading of the said Bill be discharged."—(Colonel Stuart Knox.)

MR. BRUCE

MR. J. LOWTHER

thought the hon. Member having charge of the Bill was bound to be in his place. He, therefore, hoped his hon. and gallant Friend would persevere with his Motion.

Second Reading deferred till Wednesday 11th June.
