O'REILLYasked the Under Secretary of State for India, Whether the subject of the provision made by Government for the religious wants of Her Majesty's servants in India, professing the Roman Catholic religion, has been brought under the consideration of the Secretary of State in Council, and of the Governor General in Council; and, whether any steps have been taken or are contemplated in this matter?
MR. GRANT DUFFIn reply, Sir, to my hon. Friend, I have to say that after the Question put by him to me last year, the Secretary of State in Council addressed the Viceroy in Council upon this subject, and that it is at present under the consideration of the Government of India.
