(In the Committee.)

(1.) Motion made, and Question proposed, That a sum, not exceeding £85,000, be granted to Her Majesty (in addition to the sum of £853,500 already voted for the service of the year 1872–73), to defray the Charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March 1873, for the Establishment of, and Expenditure incurred by, the Army Purchase Commissioners, and for the purchase of the remaining Commissions of Gentlemen at Arms.

moved that the Committee report Progress on account of the lateness of the hour (1 o'clock).

Motion made, and Question, "That the Chairman do report Progress, and ask leave to sit again,"—(Lord Elcho,)put, and negatived.

Original Question put, and agreed to.
