HC Deb 18 June 1873 vol 216 c1135
MR. COLLINS

said, that as an important event was about to occur, it would be for the convenience of hon. Members that the House should adjourn. He therefore begged to move the Adjournment of the House.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That this House do now adjourn."—(Mr. Collins.)

MR. BRUCE

opposed the Motion, on the ground that it would be unfair to hon. Gentlemen who had Business on the Paper, to deprive them of the opportunity of having it discussed.

Question put, and negatived.
