§ SIR DAVID WEDDERBURNasked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Whether, as the Committee on Civil Services Expenditure have now reported, it is the intention of the Treasury to resume consideration of any applications for increase of salary which may have been made by sheriff-substitutes, in accordance with the assurance recently given in this House, that such applications would be considered on their individual merits.
