HC Deb 10 February 1873 vol 214 c194
MR. ELLICE

wished to ask the Speaker a Question with reference to the putting-off of Bills till the 20th of June —namely, whether Notice ought not to be placed on the Paper that the postponement of Bills was to be proposed?

MR. SPEAKER

If an hon. Member be desirous of postponing a Bill of which he has charge, it is the ordinary practice to allow him to move its postponement without Notice.
