asked, Whether any information has been received at the Home Office with respect to the case of Mr. M'Aleese, the gentleman sentenced for contempt of Court at the Belfast Assizes to four months' imprisonment and the payment of a heavy fine; and whether it is the practice in England to treat persons sentenced for contempt of court in the same manner as persons convicted of criminal offences?
