HC Deb 03 April 1873 vol 215 c529
MR. P. J. SMYTH

asked Mr. Attorney General, If section sixteen of tenth George the Fourth, chapter seven, has been repealed; and, if not, to what extent, if any, an Act abolishing Tests in Dublin University and Trinity College may be affected by it?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL,

in reply, said, the section of the Act referred to by the hon. Member had not been repealed, and the Bill abolishing Tests in the University of Dublin would not in any manner affect it. That section merely limited the effect of the Emancipation Act, and no Act passed outside the Emancipation Act was affected by it.
