asked the Vice President of the Committee of Council, What amount has become payable to the schools which, during the last year, have passed 20,000 children in extra subjects, over and above the sum which they would otherwise have received?

MR. W. E. FORSTER

, in reply, said, the amount was £2,410 13s. 9d. The deduction to be made at 15s. per head was £785, leaving as the actual sum for extras £1,625.
