MR. OTWAYasked the First Lord of the Admiralty, Whether he intends taking any steps to improve the position of the workmen in Chatham Dockyard?
§ MR. GOSCHENThere is a similar Question on the Notice Paper by the hon. Member for Devonport (Mr. J. D. Lewis) for a future day, and I will reply to both Questions at once. I have to inform the hon. Members that a decision has been come to with regard to the labourers, not in Chatham Dockyard only, but in the dockyards generally, which I trust will be satisfactory, and which will be communicated to them, I believe, by Saturday morning.
