§ MR. STOPFORD-SACKVILLEasked the Under Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether it is his intention during the present Session to introduce any measure to amend the Highway Act in accordance with the Special Report of the Select Committee on Turnpike Trusts Bill, 1867?
§ MR. WINTERBOTHAMsaid, that a measure had been prepared, but at the request of the Local Government Board it would be postponed till next Session, as the Local Government Bill of the present year would enable the Board to deal with the Highway question more thoroughly next year.
