asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether, Her Majesty's Government having stated their intention of depriving Lieutenants of Counties of all power over the Militia on the 31st of March next, the War Office intend taking steps to relieve the ratepayers of counties from the burden of providing storehouses for the use of the Crown?

MR. CARDWELL

said, the noble Lord's Question referred to a subject of great importance, which had received the consideration of the Government, and he would state their views upon it on Thursday next.
