§ MR. MACFIEasked the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, What is the intention of the Government with regard to a settlement of questions that have arisen on the subject of Copyright in the Dominion of Canada?
§ MR. KNATCHBULL-HUGESSENHer Majesty's Government have been and are considering suggestions for the settlement of these copyright questions as embodied in a Bill passed by the Dominion Legislature and otherwise put before them. While they would feel much satisfaction if the difficulties surrounding this somewhat complicated subject could be solved by some reasonable and practical arrangement, they are not at this moment in a condition to state positively the course which they may think it their duty to take.
