HC Deb 08 April 1872 vol 210 c887
MR. DIXON

asked the Vice President of the Council, Whether it is expected that any more schemes under the Endowed Schools Act will be laid upon the Table of the House this Session; and, if so, whether they can be laid upon the Table at once in order that there may be time for their consideration?

MR. W. E. FORSTER

replied, that he would lay on the Table four schemes that night, and some more, he anticipated, before the end of the Session; but it was impossible for him at present to say how many. By the provisions of the Act of Parliament, time must be allowed for the consideration of the schemes, and it was not in the discretion of the Department to delay the presentation of them.
