HC Deb 04 April 1872 vol 210 c733
COLONEL ANSON

asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether Captains of twelve years' service will receive the present value of their Commissions on being transferred to the Militia with half-pay for ten years?

MR. CARDWELL

Sir, the officer who shall accept the proposed terms will lose none of his rights under the Army Regulation Act. If he is entitled to over-regulation, he will receive it when he goes upon half-pay, and his regulation amount when he finally retires from the service.
