HC Deb 11 May 1871 vol 206 c631
MR. BRUCE

said, there were three Bills on the subject of Game Laws before the House. In regard to two of them—those of the hon. Member for Bury St. Edmund's and the hon. Member for Linlithgowshire—notices of opposition to the second reading of both of them appeared on the Paper; but there was no such Notice in respect to the third Bill—namely, that of the Government. He would suggest, therefore, that the Government Bill might be read the second time and referred to a Select Committee, and that the other two Bills, without being read the second time, might also be referred to the same Select Committee.

MR. P. A. TAYLOR

said, he could not assent to that arrangement.
