HC Deb 17 March 1871 vol 205 c170
MR. NEVILLE-GRENVILLE

asked the Postmaster General, When he proposes to bring in a Bill to carry out his new Postage and Money Order schemes; and, whether he anticipates their becoming Law before Easter?

MR. MONSELL

said, in reply, that the money order scheme would not require legislation, and preparations were being made to carry it out with as little delay as possible. As to the other scheme, legislation was necessary in order to carry it out. A Bill was being prepared for that purpose, and he should have the pleasure of introducing it with as little delay as possible. He could not, however, promise that it would be introduced before Easter.
