asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, When it is probable that the Report of the Judicature Commission will be laid before Parliament; and, whether, in the event of a consolidation of any of the Welsh Counties being recommended in the said Report, Her Majesty's Government will solicit the opinion and consult the wishes of the magistrates in Quarter Sessions assembled, before any final arrangement is determined upon?

MR. BRUCE

, in reply, said, the Report of the Judicature Commission would be presented to the House soon after Easter. In the event of a consolidation of any of the Welsh counties being recommended, the opinion of the magistrates in quarter sessions assembled would be ascertained, and any representations they might make would be carefully attended to.
