HC Deb 09 March 1871 vol 204 c1675
CAPTAIN STACPOOLE

asked the First Lord of the Treasury, If it is the intention of the Government to bring in any measure with reference to the purchase of Irish Railways this Session?

MR. GLADSTONE

replied that Her Majesty's Government had not prepared any measure for the purchase of Irish railways, nor was he sanguine that it would be in their power to make a proposal in any form on the subject this Session.
